Find Livestock Truck For Sale

A livestock truck is equipment that is for the sake of transporting animals. Horse trailers are what we usually equate with a livestock truck. They can range from a small hitch trailer with one or two horses inside to long rigs that can carry a half dozen or more.

Most trucks carry more than a horse. Many carry cattle to state fairs, to the butcher, or to an auction block. Pigs, llamas, goats, and chickens are also hauled on livestock trucks. But not all trailers are designed the same. There are a few things you need to look for.

Flooring should be comfortable for the animal you are transporting. Cows and other large animals will need rubber flooring, so they don’t lose their balance and fall. All animals need fresh air coming into the livestock truck. Make sure that the slats are wide enough for smaller animals. Narrower slats are helpful for larger animals.

Watch the weight listed with each livestock truck you check out. The weight it can hold is important to ensure animal safety and it meets your needs.
